JOHN VAN DEN HEUVEL - BULLITS FOR THE CROWN WITNESS (2016)
ABOUT THE BOOK
John van den Heuvel has been writing about murder, manslaughter, extortion, the arms trade, and drugs in the Dutch criminal world for over 25 years. He disclosed the rise of the ‘Poldermaffia’, followed the career of Willem Holleeder, wrote inside stories about motor gangs and money laundering, but also followed crime fighters of the police and the justice department.
In Bullets for a crown witness he sheds critical light on the fight against crime and carries out analyses about the goings-on in the criminal world. Accordingly he writes about the rise of new motor gangs, the witness-statements of the Holleeder sisters, police failures and the shady deals surrounding a Dutch government secretary.
